1/12 scale in red/green. Many months of research were needed for this model and fortunately at least one still exists in preservation so I was able to clamber over it to obtain hidden detail etc. I consists of a main carriage on which the crane is mounted plus two "Stokes Patent Relieving Bogies. These reduced the load on the main carriage allowing travel over lines with restricted axle loadings. There is also a "Match Truck" or "Runner" which supports the jib when lowered for travelling. All motions on the model are powered by separate motors, including travel, slewing, luffing and hoisting. The two cylinder steam engine operates in unison with these functions. All the other mechanical features of the original are reproduced and working including suspension, brakes and the relieving gear. Fully described and illustrated in Constructor Quarterly No 27.
