GREAT EASTERN RAILWAY OMNIBUS
"Sweedy Sparrow goes Topless"

Sweedy = nickname of Great Eastern Railway.
Sparrow = Cockney ie built in Stratford East London.
Topless = open top.

This remarkable prototype was one of a small fleet designed and built at the dawn of motorised road transport by a railway company in a locomotive works! Furthermore just about every component was made in-house. The model is built in colours generally to match the original. Constructional details were taken from works drawings and photographs. Working features are as the original including suspension, steering, four speed & reverse gearbox, trans-axle and differential and three separate braking systems. Even the gearbox gate layout matches the original. For more details and information see Constructor Quarterly No 18.
