LOT 0082 - MECCANO NEW YORK SET 6 c1926 VERY RARE. Inc. early 6v reversing motor.
[LOT 0082]

This set seems to be largely complete (no manual so no contens list). Many parts are tin plated with a dull grey finish, (These pop up from time to time)while others are nickel. The motor is tested and works well. Its body is nickel plated (better in the flesh than picture and will benefit with brasso cleaning. The box is intact but need a bit of work. Good label. There's correspondence included which gives some of the story of these sets, I believe the USA was short lived. The small parts boxes are in good condition. There are generous bundles of girders and strips. The set is very heavy. An oportunity for to turn this into an atractive and probably, unique, early set.
